The Graduate

Song of the day: If You Talk Too Much (My Head Will Explode) by People In Planes
Just graduated from Berklee College. The ceremony had to be one of the longest of my life. Woke up, got pissed that a graduation from a music school would have the audacity to have 869 musicians meet at 7:30 am. Then had us all  wait in a hot, crowded room for 3 and half hours while we were forced by the "graduation staff" to stay in line like were still in the 1st grade. And they were the hall monitors. Gave us buttons that bore our numbers in line. I was too tired to realize that the 168 I was given was really 861 backwards. Stood for what seemed like days until we (gasp!) did all this to sit down in chairs. Then there was the obligatory commencement speech, something about carpe diem. Original. Smokey Robinson was the main speaker, made a pun on how his infected ears were an analogy for the music industry. Gave an honest truth instead of saying "blah blah, go get success" and warned people of a ruthless industry. Be Cautious. Made a joke about women's shoes. Funny. Linda Ronstadt then called Berklee Hogwarts. Also funny. Then at the end, we threw our hats and I lost my tassel. Spent an hour trying to find another one. After, took pictures and had my parents meet Kaitlin's mother (my girlfriend, she's great). Ate nachos for celebration meal, rode back to parent's hotel in mother's hybrid, but not before getting lost in the parking garage. Realized hybrid's sum up the definition of an ugly car but keep it very quiet. Nice for a city. Got back to hotel. Took Celebratory nap.
